Markus Müller, MD, is specialised in internal medicine and clinical pharmacology and currently serves as tenured, full Professor and Head of the Department of Clinical Pharmacology of the Vienna Medical University at the Vienna General Hospital (AKH), a 2200 bed tertiary care hospital. The Department is spezialized on clinical research in a wide variety of therapeutic areas.
Prof Müller also serves as a European Expert for the European Medicines Agency (EMEA), and is a reviewer for several biomedical and pharmaceutical journals and scientific societies. He has published over 150 original articles in the field of clinical pharmacology, holds two patents and has received several awards, including the Tanabe Award of the American College of Clinial Pharmacology (ACCP) in acknowledgement of innovations in clinical pharmacology trials and the Billroth Award of the Austrian Board of Physicians.
